Purpose :This study analyzed the contrast sensitivity before and after wearing the RGP contact lens with the change in 4 type and identified to have a effect on ophthalmic optics.
Methods : We measured for 38(21 males and 17 females at the age of 24.71¡¾0.76) university students in Busan and Kyeong-Nam who don¡¯t have any systemic diseases, eye diseases and no refractive surgery using the VCTS 6500 test under the uncorrected condition of photopic vision and scotopic vision.
Results : The contrast sensitivity of photopic visionshowed that the spatial frequency under 1.5cpd before wearing the RGP contact lens and there was only significant at D lens (p=0.016). And there were no significant under 3cpd(F=1.062, p=0.377), 6cpd (F=0.277, p=0.893). 12cpd(F=0.941, p=0.441). 18cpd(F=0.512, p=0.727). The contrast sensitivity of scotopic visionshowed that there were no significant in 1.5cpd(F=1.109, p=0.354), And there were significant in wearing 4 types lens
(p=0.016) under 3cpd(F=1.745, p=0.142), 6cpd(F=2.666, p=0.034), 12cpd(F=5.085, p=0.001).
